Meet Alison Ferguson

Alison Ferguson is one of our dedicated fundraisers for Kiss Goodbye to MS. After being diagnosed with MS in 2010, Alison was inspired to become a fundraiser while attending a local Kiss Goodbye to MS High Tea fundraising event in 2014.

Alison’s fundraising journey began a few months later, as her first fundraising event raised an unbelievable $3500 at a ladies night at her home with friends and family. Following the success of her first event, Alison organised her second fundraising event in 2015, with 60 people attending her cocktail party. With the support of local businesses and everyone’s generosity, Alison was able to raise far more than expected, and was issued a large cheque on the night with an extremely generous donation.

‘I am now so passionate about raising money for MS Research Australia, as I have been lucky enough to have options for the best medication that is available for me. Not so long ago, these options weren’t available, and it is only thanks to our amazing researchers that now these drugs are available to help people like me,’ said Alison.

This year, Alison has organised another event for the 2016 Kiss Goodbye to MS Campaign. She is hosting the ‘Masquerade for MS’ dinner at the Hotel Canobolas in Orange, New South Wales on the 21st of May. All participants will mask up and become invisible, just like MS with its invisible symptoms. With exciting guest speakers attending, raffles and auctions being held throughout the dinner, it promises to be an unforgettable night. https://kissgoodbyetoms.org/upcoming-events/masquerade-for-ms/

All funds raised by Kiss Goodbye to MS go towards research projects funded by MS Research Australia. This ongoing research into MS wouldn’t be possible without our wonderful fundraisers, who continue to surprise and amaze us with their inspiring ideas!
