Let's kiss goodbye to MS
During October 2019 I will be taking on a new challenge with a group of inspiring individuals to help fight the debilitating disease, Multiple Sclerosis. Every kilometre covered helps to not only raise awareness of this condition, but to raise vital funds for future research, to Kiss Goodbye to MS! MS is a cause very close to my heart. When learning about the silent disease that has affected close family friends, I felt that we had to do something to help raise funds to ultimately find a cure for this horrible disease. Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic disease that attacks the central nervous system. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS cannot be predicted. MS is a lifelong disease for which a cure is yet to be found. Diagnosis of MS is mostly between the ages of 20 and 40 years. On average more than 10 Australians are diagnosed with MS every week. Three quarters of all people with MS are women. Some common symptoms of MS include: changes in memory, concentration or reasoning, pain, extreme tiredness, altered sensation, such as tingling, numbness or pins and needles, visual disturbance, altered muscle tone, such as muscle weakness, difficulties with walking and balance, sensitivity to heat. Every donation, big or small, goes towards vital research, prevention, treatments and ultimately a cure for MS! So please dig deep and help Kiss goodbye to MS!
