LACE UP FOR RUNNING SEASON
Marathon season is upon us. For those aspirants who strive to run their first or their 30th marathon race, the upcoming months call for longwinded training sessions. As beautiful as the Aussie summer time is, running a marathon during a hot summer’s day seems to be almost impossible. Thankfully, the cooler seasons bring a combination of exciting and renowned races to challenge all you enthusiastic runners out there.
If you haven’t already, get a head start on your marathon training as running season commences! Whether you’re a seasonal participator, or you’ve been inspired to take on your first marathon, you’re sure to find a race to favour you! From running our local city streets in the City 2 Surf, to breathtaking views at the Sunshine Coast Marathon — each race will offer a unique experience that you won’t regret lacing up for, so start prepping now!
Marathons are not just for the competitive runner, you can casually jog or even walk! Although they are a great way to put your agility skills to the test, it’s also a great excuse to get together with family and friends for some fun and physical activity. Take advantage of these marathons by meeting some new people, soaking up the great atmosphere and just to add, it’s a great opportunity to explore your city!
