Need a little inspo?

Coming up with your fundraising idea can be tricky and one of the most common questions we hear is “What can I do to raise money?” Many people think they have to do something really crazy to raise loads of cash, but this isn’t the case at all. Your fundraising event doesn’t have to be grueling– there are so many different ways you can get involved!

Recently, our amazing fundraiser, Samantha Bolton, held a Movie Night at her local cinema in Orange, NSW. For just $20 a ticket, guests were invited to enjoy the Hollywood remake of the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast, with all the proceeds going to Kiss Goodbye to MS! With a lucky dip and an auction of gifts donated by local businesses, the evening was a huge success and raised over $5000 for research into MS!

If you aren’t a movie buff, and baking is more your thing, why not raise lots of dough by baking cupcakes and having a cake stall at the office or school? If you don’t fancy yourself as the next Zumbo, how about getting the BBQ going! One of our favourite ways of raising money (and your boss’ patience levels!) is an office karaoke competition – have every one pay an entry fee to watch their colleagues rock the mic!

This is just a short selection of ways you can fundraise, but there’s no limit to what you can do! We love to see new and creative ways our Kiss Goodbye to MS supporters find to raise money for vital research into MS. Whatever you choose to do, make sure you set up your fundraising page on our website and share your event with your friends.  And the most important thing… make sure you have fun doing it!
