WRAP UP
The first Motor Show for MS went off with a flying start, with 200 classic cars on display alongside motorcycles, drag cars, rally cars, and even racing lawn mowers. Our wonderful fundraiser Jacqui Orford put together with the support of her community and is delighted with the result.
The day raised an amazing $10,000!!! As someone very well known in the classic car scene in Western Sydney, Jacqui’s event was highly anticipated: So much so that the car park was full in under 2 hours. The crowd was well entertained with sounds from talented local DJ, drag car engines, market stalls and food trucks, the museum’s own steam train, and a bouncy castle!
On the day awards were given in categories such as best female owned, best under bonnet, and best Holden.
Jacqui is a powerhouse in fundraising, creating this event by herself, with support from friends and family on the event day. Living with MS Jacqui was already part of the MS community, she has now become a major fundraiser for MS Australia.
Jacqui is looking to hold the event annually. So, look out for the event next year if you’re into classic cars and would like a day out with the family.
