Let's kiss goodbye to MS
I am fundraising for the Walk for Barbs team to kiss goodbye to MS. Due to holiday commitments, I can’t walk with the rest of the team in October, so I have committed to doing my bit by completing the Adelaide 6hr event in July. This will see me run/walk/crawl around the Uni loop in the city for 6 hours to raise money for the Walk for Barbs Team. I reckon 6hrs deserves at least $600, so please contribute whatever you can and let\’s kiss goodbye to MS! Last year, My dear friend Ainslee Ey lost her mum Barbara to Multiple Sclerosis. Barbs was diagnosed with a very progressive form of MS in 2004, and had to be placed in an aged care home fulltime in 2008, she never walked again. By 2012 she had to have a feeding peg. Over the years MS aggressively stripped Barbs of her memory and her ability to recognise her loved ones. Watching Ainslee say goodbye to her mum was heartbreaking, but she certainly is one tough cookie. Ainslee has committed to raising funds to help find a cure for MS and has a team together to walk 40km through the Barossa in October.
