Let's kiss goodbye to MS

My Story

When I was 16 (February 2018) I would wake with shooting pain in my legs after a year of tingling sensations that would come and go. I was sent to have an MRI by my doctor and later told that I had a mass in my spine, a potential tumor. The next day I travelled from rural Victoria to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne where I would spend a week. After another MRI and more tests I was told that the originally thought tumor was a spot of demeyelination. Seven months and many tests later, I would be diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 17 years old. Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic illness that is generally thought to be something that elderly people get, and that it means that you will inevitably end up in a wheelchair. As I have learnt over the past year this is not the case. Every case of MS is like a snowflake, no two are the same. My goal is to raise awareness for all MS sufferers, especially children and adolescents. Thank you for supporting the MS society and our journey to find a cure.
