Teneriffe Festival Wall of Kisses
The Teneriffe Festival is excited to announce that MS Research Australia has been confirmed as the national charity of choice for 2017. And we are planning something BIG! It only takes SECONDS…. Pucker up and take a selfie! Any old selfie will do. If you’re feeling a bit cheeky, then blow a kiss (to kiss goodbye to MS). If you’re feeling particularly energetic, gloss up with a bright red lipstick and snap that selfie! Okay – you’ve done that? Now I need you to go to this link, fill in a few details, upload your selfie and donate a fiver.
So, what’s with the selfies? Basically, we’re collecting 10,000 photos and collating all of those images into a photo mosaic that will be projected to create the ‘Wall of Kisses’ on the Teneriffe Wool Stores. A beautiful piece of artwork four storeys high to show festival-goers the face of MS. Bringing ‘Vivid style’ art projections and installations to the Teneriffe’s landmark buildings has been a long-time dream of the festival and this will be the inaugural year. And what better way to mark that than with a MASSIVE fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia. The Teneriffe Festival attracts an audience of approximately 50,000 people across all of its events, making it one of Brisbane’s most significant festivals.
In assessing which charitable causes to support each year, the board of the Teneriffe Festival have an onerous application process and selection criteria to be addressed. MS Research Australia was chosen from a strong field of nominations because of the internationally recognised awareness that has been generated from the Kiss Goodbye to MS campaign. The tenants of the KGTMS campaign align strongly with the character of the Festival and the fashion-forward fundraising concepts that KGTMS are looking to activate at the event perfectly complement the return of the fashion precinct to the one-day event.
