Let's kiss goodbye to MS
Tom Haigh
In August 2018, 4 of my best mates are undertaking the 2018 Mongol Derby.
The Derby is a grueling 1000km horse race across the Mongolian Steppe.
As part of their journey they are trying to raise $100,000 for MS Research Australia to fund vital research. The ultimate aim is to find a cure for MS.
I want to help them on this amazing journey and to help them raise their goal of $100,000.
While I would love nothing more than joining the boys in Mongolia, the race organisers were adamant that all competitors of the derby be able to ride a horse. It may come as a surprise to many but i am not an overly competent horseman.
Undeterred, I am committing to riding 1,000km on my trusty push bike in the month of July in the lead up to the boys departure.
It is a massive personal challenge and something that I am determined and committed to achieving.
I would love your support for what is a great cause on what is a great challenge for me.
The Macquarie Group Foundation has kindly offered to match any donation made to my fundraising effort.
