LET'S KISS GOODBYE TO MS

First and foremost, thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

In July this year, I will be running 3 Marathons in 3 Days in FNQ (https://3marathonsin3days.com/) to raise money for MS Australia, Australia’s national not-for-profit dedicated to funding and coordinating MS research globally.


A bit of about MS - it is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord. In MS, the immune system mistakenly attacks the protective covering of nerve fibers called myelin, causing inflammation and damage. This damage disrupts the normal flow of electrical impulses along the nerves, leading to a variety of neurological symptoms, significantly impacting the daily life of those diagnosed and their immediate support network. Most people are diagnosed between ages 20 and 50, with women being affected about three times more often than men.


With that being said, I am aiming to raise AUD $5,000 for MS Australia. $5,000 funds the purchase of tissue culture materials required for a MS research project for one year. More information on what your contributions funds can be found here: https://www.msaustralia.org.au/your-contribution/.
