Ambassador story – Sara Donaldson
Our Kiss Goodbye to MS Ambassadors work tirelessly promoting the campaign and raising awareness for the importance of ongoing research into MS. Sara Donalson, the founder of popular blog, Harper and Harley is one of our dedicated Ambassadors who is committed to raising the profile of MS.
Finding a cure for MS is a cause that is close to Sara’s heart. Sara’s mother was diagnosed with MS 11 years ago, after experiencing symptoms while on a family holiday.
Sara was honoured to be asked to become an ambassador for Kiss Goodbye to MS,
“I have been fortunate enough to build a social presence with my career as a fashion and beauty blogger and would like to use this by bringing awareness to MS and to help fundraise for a cure. Especially now that I’ve reached the point where I have a substantial online following, I knew I could reach the demographic that is most commonly affected — the bracket of 20 to 40 year old women,” Sara said.
Sara is determined to raise the profile of MS and educate Australia on what the disease actually is.
“In 2015 I dedicated the whole month of May’s beauty content on Harper and Harley towards raising awareness and fundraising for MS Research Australian to help researchers ultimately finding a cure. I posted images of myself wearing a red lip every day throughout the month of May up on my blog and social media channels, encouraging my readers to share the images and donate to MS research.”
Kiss Goodbye to MS is thrilled to have Sara supporting the campaign again this year. Watch this space…
