Board members actively involved with Kiss Goodbye to MS

Throughout May hundreds of people registered to fundraise for Kiss Goodbye to MS. Together we have already raised over $672,000 for Kiss Goodbye to MS, which is a new record for this time of year! There have been countless events held, 15,500 pics posted on social media and thousands of donations – and we are only just half way through the year.

MS Research Australia board members even joined in, hosting their own Kiss Goodbye to MS events. Anne Bennett, the digital media expert of our board, hosted a cocktail night with her closest friends. The cocktail night, held at The Blu Bar, Shangri La Hotel in Sydney, was the chance for Anne’s friends to learn a new skill and support Kiss Goodbye to MS. For a donation, Anne invited her friends to come along for a cocktail making class after work. Ten ladies attended, and with the sun setting behind them, the evening was a great success. Anne’s event raised over $900 for Kiss Goodbye to MS. A great cause and a great excuse for a girl’s night! The favourite cocktail of the night was The Rising Sun, a bespoke cocktail made on the night using ‘Zenzi’ Rosato Frizzante, a case of which was kindly donated for a raffle!

Katrina Hemingway, a long term supporter of MS Research Australia also hosted an event at her office, Harper Collins. Katrina, whose husband, Mike, and is on our board and has MS, organised a morning tea. Katrina and her colleagues donated cakes and sweet treats, and the red morning tea raised $1,000 for Kiss Goodbye to MS.

We are so proud to have a community of incredible Kiss Goodbye to MS supporters, and just as proud of the support from our board members, staff and leadership councils. At MS Research Australia, we hosted a red afternoon tea, with our team making a donation to Kiss Goodbye to MS. As a group we donated $100 to one of our dearest fundraisers.

It is this kind of support that inspires our Kiss Goodbye to MS team every day. Thank you to everyone who got involved throughout May!
