Kiss Goodbye to MS Launch 2017
The 2017 Kiss Goodbye to MS campaign was officially launched on Friday 28th April in stunning style. Fifty VIP guests attended an intimate breakfast, hosted by our wonderful Ambassador, Rochelle Collis and her fiancé Babak, at their beautiful Mosman home. Surrounded by our key, long-standing supporters and members of the Kiss Goodbye to MS community, this event felt extra special.
With the dress code subtly defined as “a touch of red”, our guests interpreted the theme in many wonderful ways. From red lips and red dresses to a beautifully manicured set of red nails from the fab Mike Hemingway, the guests pulled off some fabulous looks! And what better way to show off these styles than with a photo or two (or ten!)? With a professional photographer on hand to snap some spectacular shots at our media wall (and a couple of candid pics too!) we had the event covered. We were also so excited to have a GIF booth this year! Everyone loved letting their inner child out and having a go on the beautiful, floral swing whilst blowing a kiss into the GIF booth. The morning was also graced with some insightful and touching speeches. Firstly, Rochelle and her sister Vianna, who is living with MS, shared their journey. The brave sisters explained how MS doesn’t just impact the person who is diagnosed, it takes a toll on the entire family. Having a strong support of loved ones can make all the difference to someone who is newly diagnosed with MS, as is the case for Vianna who has been able to rely on her sister Rochelle.
MS Research Australia’s Dr Hamish Campbell then addressed the crowd to explain some of the developments and breakthroughs occurring in the world of scientific research. Dr Campbell, expressed optimism for the future for those diagnosed with MS and stressed the need for more funding into research.
We would like to thank all of our event supporters who assisted in making the event a huge success and, of course, to everyone who attended the breakfast. What a perfect way to kick off May!
